Homeschool: Ages 7-8 (drop-off)
This Fall we will explore the challenges our beautiful planet is facing and brainstorm ways to help. By exploring topics like climate change, pollution, and conservation, we want to encourage students to develop a deep connection to nature and build practical, lifelong sustainability habits. Each week we will highlight an environmental hero and engage in hands-on activities that stimulate curiosity and learning. Our trails await, as do our animal ambassadors! Come dressed for the outdoors and ready to be environmental stewards! Space is limited.
Young Naturalists
Homeschool: Ages 9-11 (drop-off)
Homeschool: Ages 9-11 (drop-off)
Why is the environment important? What happens if people do not respect our trails and parks? This season we will talk about why our outdoor spaces are important and why we should advocate for them. We will talk about different animals and plants that inhabit these spaces as well as the people that work to keep them maintained. Every week we will meet an animal, go on a nature walk and complete a worksheet, craft or experiment. Be sure to dress appropriately for the nature walk every week. Space is limited.
