APEC provides class visits for thousands of school children each year. All workshops provide educational concepts about various aspects of our living environment. Programs have been adapted to New York State Curriculum Standards and Expectations.

Class Visits Nursery & Pre-K

Class Visits Grades 6 - 12

A $50 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT FOR EACH CLASS ATTENDING THE SCHOOL TRIP IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. 

Teachers can call starting Tuesday, September 6th 2022 to book class trips & outreach programs for the 2022/23 school year. Thank you for supporting APEC!

Guidelines for the day of your trip

Full program, including nature walk, is held rain or shine.

Please dress appropriately --
ie. boots in colder, wetter months and insect repellent in the spring.


Leave children on bus anD have one teacher register and pay for your group at the Front Desk.
 
 
If your bus is running late, please call APEC at
 718-229-4000 and we will try to accommodate you.


APEC does not supply hand sanitizer or paper towels.

Keep in mind, there are no indoor lunch facilities available. There are outdoor picnic tables for your class, should you choose to enjoy lunch on the premises.

The environmental center is located in Alley Pond Park, surrounded by lush nature trails where visitors can enjoy NYC's natural landscapes. Guests are welcome to attend one of APEC's many nature oriented programs for all ages and visit the center's animal ambassadors. Please explore our website to learn more and register for programs.
