APEC provides camp visits for thousands of campers each year. All workshops provide educational concepts about various aspects of our living environment.

Summer Camp Visits to our Center

     Each trip includes:
  •      - 75 minute program with a general mini-lesson
  •      - Guided nature walk
  •      - Live animal presentation with 3 of APEC's Animal Ambassadors
     
​     $8.00 per camper plus $5.00 per staff member*
  •      *$50.00 non-refundable deposit due at booking to reserve a date. Credit/debit card payments
  •      accepted.   ​

A $50 non-refundable deposit for each class is required at booking

Guidelines for the day of your trip

Full program, including nature walk, is held rain or shine.

Please dress appropriately --
ie. boots in colder, wetter months and insect repellent in the spring.


Leave children on bus and have one teacher register and pay for your group at the Front Desk.
 
 
If your bus is running late, please call APEC at
 718-229-4000 and we will try to accommodate you.


APEC does not supply hand sanitizer or paper towels.

Keep in mind, there are no indoor lunch facilities available. There are outdoor picnic tables for your class, should you choose to enjoy lunch on the premises.

The environmental center is located in Alley Pond Park, surrounded by lush nature trails where visitors can enjoy NYC's natural landscapes. Guests are welcome to attend one of APEC's many nature oriented programs for all ages and visit the center's animal ambassadors. Please explore our website to learn more and register for programs.
