In memory of APEC volunteer gift shop managers Barbara and David Friedman, APEC is accepting donations in their honor. In addition to volunteer gift shop manager, Barbara Friedman served as secretary of our board of directors for over 30 years. We thank both of them for their contributions to our center and cherish the memories they left behind. |
HOURS & PARKING
The building is open 7 days a week, except for major holidays. Monday - Friday APEC is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We have varying hours on the weekend. Call ahead if coming in on a weekend. Building is handicap accessible. Please check the APEC calendar for closures. Walking trails are open from dawn to dusk, year ‘round.
Parking and entrance to the building and grounds is free, but we do have a suggested donation of $5 per person. You can contribute right at the front desk of APEC if you wish to do so!

The environmental center is located in Alley Pond Park, surrounded by lush nature trails where visitors can enjoy NYC's natural landscapes. Guests are welcome to attend one of APEC's many nature oriented programs for all ages and visit the center's animal ambassadors. Please explore our website to learn more and register for programs.
