Alley Pond Environmental Center's Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) will be on Saturday, September 14th in collaboration with Glow Cultural Center (启扬文化中心)! Join us for a variety of programs! Walk-ins welcome!
Participants of all ages can also join us for a Chinese Dance Performance from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm! Join versatile choreographer, teacher, and dancer Keith Shen and his dance group as they showcase a variety of classical Chinese Folk Dance styles. This hour-long performance will include many different rhythms, costumes, and music from Mongolia to Tibet, which make up the diverse cultural fabric of China.
No preregistration is required for the Chinese Dance Performance, however, the seats are first-come, first-served and limited to the first 100 participants.

Join the Asian American Birders on a bird walk through Alley Pond Park where we will look for various shorebirds like Great Egrets and Sandpipers along with the many other bird species that call APEC home. Walk-ins welcome!

After a brief demonstration of Yo-Yo movements, participants will work with a Chinese yo-yo and sticks to practice basic tricks like looping, accelerating, and tossing. Walk-ins welcome!
